Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of a premier, non-asset logistics provider that is experiencing rapid growth while staying committed to an excellent customer experience.
The Director of Training is responsible for the education, training, and growth of the company’s new hires as well as the continued development of all sales related positions. This role is expected to promote an active learning environment throughout the training department and all onboarding and sales training programs. Acts as a dedicated mentor to new hires, and all direct reports to them in the training department. The ability to create an effective sales training program our carrier sales and account managers to be successful earlier in their employment is critical to achieving success in this role.

Background Required:
  • Non-asset logistics sales and sales management (5+ years of experience)
  • Design a sales specific training curricula and framework including prospecting, negotiating, customer onboarding, account penetration, and pipeline management
  • Provide new hires with a strong understanding of the transportation and 3PL industry
  • Develop and implement a standardized sales training & evaluation process for new hires
  • Create necessary sales training tools and material to support new hire training programs and processes
  • Designs and delivers a combination of core learning and development solutions targeted at various levels of the organization and aligned to business needs
  • Schedule and maintain training programs, develop, and modify training sessions as needed, deliver training sessions, document training records electronically
  • Analyze and determine training needs for staff
  • Strong selling skills and ability to develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
