Director of Tower Construction – Wireless, 5G

Location: Remote, United States (travel up to 40 %)

Why This Role Rocks

Fuel the next wave of public-safety and commercial 5G coverage by leading large-scale tower builds from concept to close-out. Our client-a rapidly scaling infrastructure company backed by major carrier contracts-is doubling its construction footprint and needs a hands-on leader who can turn aggressive build schedules into on-air assets. If you thrive on data-driven execution, vendor orchestration, and seeing steel rise on-time and on-budget, this is your stage to drive national impact while working from anywhere in the U.S.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Own the build lifecycle – steer site acquisition, permitting, civil works, stacking, integration, and close-out for new macro and small-cell structures.
  • Command the numbers – create annual construction forecasts, budgets, and cost-to-completion models for multi-market programs exceeding $50 M.
  • Secure best-in-class partners – negotiate and manage MSAs, SOWs, and change orders with GCs, A&E firms, and specialty crews, protecting margin and schedule.
  • Keep projects visible and on track – maintain real-time dashboards for permits, critical-path milestones, safety metrics, and quality KPIs, resolving roadblocks before they escalate.
  • Inform the C-suite – deliver concise, data-rich weekly health reviews and recommend course corrections that align resources with strategic goals.

What Powers Your Success

  • 10+ years of wireless infrastructure delivery (specifically macro towers) with 5+ years leading construction programs. (i.e. take out the Small Cell and DAS part).
  • Deep fluency in AIA cost forecasting, CPM scheduling, and risk management; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven record negotiating and directing dispersed vendors and field crews across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Skill with cloud-based project and analytics platforms (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, Power BI).
  • Bachelor’s in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
  • Ability to travel 30-40 % to project sites nationwide.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Competitive base salary plus bonus/equity tied to program milestones and corporate growth.
  • Remote work with onsite travel as needed (company-paid travel).
  • High-impact seat reporting to the CEO (future COO planned) with a clear path to senior executive leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial culture that prizes transparency, innovation, and speed.
  • Comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with match, generous PTO, and continuing-education support.
