We are searching for a Tax Director to lead an organically growing team in the suburbs of Chicago, IL.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with clients on business processes, such as succession and tax planning.
  • Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and train team members.
  • Foster and build opportunities for clients, communities, and people.
  • Perform a range of tax procedures, including the calculation of tax provisions, deferred taxes, and effective tax rates.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact.
  • Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.
  • Attend industry-leading events and trainings as necessary to stay updated on tax law changes and best practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in tax roles, with at least 8 years in a leadership or management position.
  • Deep understanding of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations, especially with tax planning, compliance and accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify tax risks and opportunities and develop strategic solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a dedication to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proven leadership ability, with experience managing teams.
  • High degree of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to upholding the highest levels of professionalism and compliance.
