Responsibilities of the Nurse Director of Surgical Services

• Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Assures great service, growth, development, and personnel management to ensure consistency in the Surgical Services department
• Develops, implements, and evaluates the Surgical Services program to ensure quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission
• Maintains complete and accurate records of assessments, financials and budgets of the Surgical Services unit Department
• Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the Surgical Services department

Requirements of the Nurse Director of Surgical Services

• 5 years minimum experience working in acute care hospital in the Surgical Services department
• 3+ years of experience working in a Surgical Services unit in a leadership role
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current and Valid RN License
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
