Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Branch Director of one of the fastest growing full-service, asset-based, logistics organizations that provides convenient freight-matching services. This organization is committed to innovation, investment in technology, and continually improving the customer experience.
The Director of Sales is responsible for selling and the management of the inside and outside sales teams, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel strategies. Also responsible for development and growth of an inside and outside sales team. Manage all aspects of the sales functions including inside sales and liaison with customer service and operations teams. Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the non-asset brokerage business. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the region, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Progressive Sales Management experience within Freight Brokerage (Inside & Outside Sales)
  • Team Building – Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor
  • Modes of transportation (i.e., Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Specialized)
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Remote
