Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Transportation for a leading trucking company that does 10 billion in revenue.
The Director of Sales-Trucking provides leadership and sales management for new business development and account management activities within an identified sales territory. The incumbent will be accountable for the management and execution of a multi-level sales plan designed to attain revenue growth and business retention goals. This person leads a team of 15 sales associates to sell contractual leasing business. Total business of $25 million. Travel 20-40 %.

Background Required:
- Commercial transportation sales executive (10 years)
- Built and/or managed a sales team
- Implemented end-to-end sales processes
- Developed and execute business plan strategies
- Demonstrated ability closing new business & penetration of existing accounts
- Developed & managed KPI’s (i.e., on-time performance, margin, data integrity, lane balances)
- Pricing logic & analysis
- Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Residence: Cleveland, OH
- Salesforce.com or similar (create reports, optimize processes, & manage dashboards)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
