Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Transportation for a leading trucking company that does 10 billion in revenue.

The Director of Sales-Trucking provides leadership and sales management for new business development and account management activities within an identified sales territory. The incumbent will be accountable for the management and execution of a multi-level sales plan designed to attain revenue growth and business retention goals. This person leads a team of 15 sales associates to sell contractual leasing business. Total business of $25 million. Travel 20-40 %.

Background Required:
  • Commercial transportation sales executive (10 years)
  • Built and/or managed a sales team
  • Implemented end-to-end sales processes
  • Developed and execute business plan strategies
  • Demonstrated ability closing new business & penetration of existing accounts
  • Developed & managed KPI’s (i.e., on-time performance, margin, data integrity, lane balances)
  • Pricing logic & analysis
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Residence: Cleveland, OH
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Salesforce.com or similar (create reports, optimize processes, & manage dashboards)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
