Summary: Our client is seeking a motivated, results-driven Director of Sales (individual contributor) to drive significant revenue growth. A successful candidate will understand what motivates customers and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. Job Description:

  • Close new business with new and existing customers, with a focus on cold chain LTL consolidation (transportation + warehousing)
  • Establish and maintain productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects
  • Coordinate new sales opportunities with a focus on contracted freight and warehousing
  • Represent in strategic negotiations with customers, while developing and maintaining high-level relationships with key decision makers at shippers across North America
  • Facilitate client visits and regular business reviews to identify growth opportunities, address concerns and solidify business relationships
  • Prospecting and new pipeline generation leading to repeatable and forecastable revenue generation
  • Ability to develop, implement and drive commercial strategy and sales execution
  • Extensive track record as a role model and emerging leader of a sales team
  • Personality and work style which thrives in ambiguity and uncertain situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-lasting and effective business relationships
  • Must be able to travel to all key customer locations around the US to conduct on-site business meetings
  • Strong ability to resolve high level issues quickly and efficiently
  • Familiarity with CRM software and experience with KPI’s or OKR’s for sales organization

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of B2B sales experience in Logistics and/or Freight Brokerage
  • Experience in non-asset refrigerated transportation, LTL consolidation and cold chain warehousing
  • Focus on medium and large shippers with complex needs and desire for an end-to-end partner
  • Track record of superior and referenceable performance metrics (quota attainment, pipeline generation, etc.)
  • Ability to port existing book of business (west coast)
