Position Responsibilities:
Leading provider of same day transportation, distribution and dedicated fleet solutions for Minnesota. Has on-call parcel and commercial fleets services. The largest same-day, on-call provider in the region. Over 550 drivers and office staff. Diverse capabilities and wide vehicle choices create strong options to meet every transportation opportunity in the marketplace.
The Director of Sales is responsible for driving new business development. They will lead a team that will grow and develop outstanding business opportunities. The goal is to lead the most success inside and outside sales team in this market. The individual will form and execute sales strategies, processes, plans and sales & marketing campaigns. Lead and drive business development for organic growth. Build and retain a highly skilled and successful team with top notch training and mentoring. Determine overall strategic vision for the team including right type of customers, sales goals, make up of the team, and forecasting.

Background Required:
  • Final Mile Sales (5 yrs) (Same day expedite, LTL, or full truck load service)
  • Final Mile Sales Management (5 yrs)
  • Set, meet, and exceed team sales goals
  • Train, develop and mentor individual sales contributors
  • Account management success (growing existing business)
  • Form and develop sales strategies, processes, plans, and sales & marketing campaigns
  • Understand competition and how to position in market
  • Sales forecasting (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Negotiations
  • Technology: Salesforce (or similar CRM)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Twin Cities Market (Saint Paul and Minneapolis)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Commercial Sales Management (over 400 vehicle fleet)
  • Business to business marketing
