We are seeking a talented Director of Sales and Events for a luxury rental company located in North Carolina. This boutique hospitality company offers curated vacation rentals across North Carolina, including mountain cabins, coastal retreats, historic inns, and downtown lofts. Position Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate lodging demand across the portfolio with a focus on weekday stays, shoulder seasons, and repeat group business.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of corporate, non-profit, and association clients to reduce reliance on third-party booking platforms.
  • Own the sales strategy for event-driven demand, specifically targeting weddings, corporate retreats, and executive off-sites.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to establish competitive pricing, protect rate integrity, and ensure sales align with profitability goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, local tourism boards, and corporate decision-makers.
  • Act as the primary sales authority on event suitability, ensuring all gatherings align with the brand’s high standards and operational feasibility.
  • Coordinate with on-site property teams to set clear expectations for logistics and guest experience once a booking is confirmed.

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years of hotel or resort sales experience, preferably within the boutique or luxury sector.
  • Strong background in outside sales and relationship-based business development.
  • Ability to reside in North Carolina and travel frequently to various property locations as needed for events and site tours.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and working alongside revenue management teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to sell "experiences" rather than just room nights.
  • Self-motivated "self-starter" personality capable of building a new department and establishing community partnerships.


Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000/yr + bonus, health benefits, PTO, and more!
