Director of Sales and Business Development
Our client, a ranked as one of Canada’s fastest growing companies located downtown Toronto has engaged ROSS (www.getROSS.com) to help them recruit a Director of Sales and Business Development. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation.
Our client is searching for a passionate and strategic senior sales leader with expertise building enterprise sales and channel organizations. An experienced Sales and Business Development Director who will be responsible and accountable for driving the demand and sales for our client’s IT Security and Network products and services. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Sales and Business Development Director will be responsible for the achievement of a set of revenue and gross profit targets through the development and implementation of sales and field marketing activities that drive demand for our client’s products and services in Canada. The Sales and Business Development Director will receive assigned revenue and gross profit targets in the form of objectives and will establish plans to meet those objectives. You will need to deliver business and technical sales strategies and tactics to effect sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop sales strategies for or client’s proprietary mobile device authentication product.
· Leadership and management of our client’s sales team
· Develop mutually profitable customer relationships with key accounts.
· Maintain a relationship at the CIO level in targeted accounts and grow the number of accounts/clients.
· Understand customer needs and work with our client’s technical and sales team to translate those into client valued solutions and services.
· Assist clients in developing appropriate strategies and address needs within specific accounts. Provides sales and product support as needed by effectively leveraging our client’s technical resources.
· Develop & maintain relationships with key technology vendors.
· Determine the best vertical segments to target across Canada for market growth/success. Develop sales, strategies & tactical plans to grow those markets.
· Develop plans with distributors and key influencers to grow our client’s penetration in existing markets and develop business in new markets.
· Work with vendor channel groups to provide input with regards to required channel programs to achieve sales & business development objectives.
· Provide input into the marketing group to develop marketing programs for the Canadian market (e.g., direct mail campaigns, PR, sales tools and promotions).
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proven track record in network security technology sales in Canada
· Management experience desired but not necessary if you are a superstar!
· Knowledge of network and IT security market
· Exceptional sales consulting and communication skills
· Knowledge of network/security technology offerings from Juniper, Palo Alto, Symantec F5, Infoblox, Symantec
· Proven ability to maintain/develop fruitful senior level relationships
· A resourceful leader that effectively leverages internal and external resources to generate interest and drive demand for our client’s solutions and services
· Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and implement field sales/market development plans for new or underdeveloped brands/products
