Overview

A high-growth technology company operating at the intersection of advanced wireless communications and the drone / unmanned systems ecosystem has retained Peskind Executive Search to identify a Director of Sales (U.S.).

This role is a senior individual contributor and serves as a primary revenue driver for the organization. The Director of Sales will own the pursuit, acquisition, and expansion of high-value drone OEM accounts, with a strong emphasis on new logo acquisition and system-level integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close strategic drone OEM accounts, driving new system integrations

  • Own priority accounts across the full customer lifecycle—from initial engagement through production and scale

  • Develop and execute account strategies, including executive-level relationship management and commercial negotiations

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with accountability for revenue outcomes

  • Partner closely with Sales Engineering to support technical evaluations, design-ins, and integration efforts

  • Build, manage, and maintain a high-quality, forecastable sales pipeline

  • Serve as the commercial owner for large, technically sophisticated deals

What Success Looks Like

  • Securing new OEM wins and successful integration of wireless systems into drone platforms

  • Delivering meaningful, measurable revenue from priority accounts

  • Expanding footprint within existing accounts across additional programs, platforms, or variants

  • Establishing trusted, long-term relationships with executive, product, and engineering stakeholders

Candidate Profile

  • 7–10+ years of B2B hardware sales experience within the drone, UAS, or adjacent advanced technology sectors

  • Demonstrated success as a sales hunter closing complex, high-value OEM deals

  • Direct experience selling to drone manufacturers or platform OEMs strongly preferred

  • Comfortable owning large, technical opportunities end-to-end

  • Background in RF, wireless, or communications technologies is a plus, but not required

  • Location: U.S. Remote

  • Travel: Approximately 30%

  • Compensation: Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission
