About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FirstNet Mission Critical Acquisition Director to join a dynamic team focused on transforming public safety communications. In this role, you will drive the adoption of our client's advanced mission-critical product portfolio among First Responder agencies, working in close partnership with a leading national cellular carrier.
This is an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by transitioning first responders from legacy Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems to modern, cellular-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a territory-specific strategy to drive new business acquisition for our client's mission-critical communications solutions.

Partner closely with carrier sales teams to support sales growth and strategic initiatives.

Act as a subject matter expert on public safety communications, including legacy LMR systems and our client's cellular-based offerings.

Build and maintain strong relationships with public safety agencies, carrier partners, and end-user stakeholders.

Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations, highlighting the operational and financial benefits of our client's platform.

Provide sales and technical support across the company's product line, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.

Support the “build vs. buy” conversation around cellular-based solutions for mission-critical communication.

Travel frequently within the assigned territory; manage responsibilities effectively in a remote/home office setup.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a sales or engineering role within the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) or public safety communications sector.

Proven understanding of LMR system procurement processes at local and regional levels.

Demonstrated ability to communicate the operational needs and challenges of public safety agencies.

Strong technical acumen related to public safety communication technologies.

Exceptional presentation and communication skills; comfortable speaking to medium-sized stakeholder groups.

Experience supporting business development efforts in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing responsibilities independently.

Prior experience working with or for a cellular carrier is a plus but not required.
