Morgan Hunter HealthSearch has an immediate opportunity with a 178-bed hospital (part of a multi-hospital system), located just outside a major metropolitan area in Texas, for a new Director of Quality & Outcomes.

The director, reporting to the CNO/CEO and overseeing a staff of seven, is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction, oversight, and coordination of quality functions that may include, but are not limited to, patient safety, clinical outcomes, risk management, infection control, performance improvement, quality issues, external reporting, and regulatory compliance. This position regularly collaborates with medical staff, hospital leadership, and outside agents to collect and analyze hospital data, implement strategies and manage outcomes to provide cost effective, quality and safe healthcare delivery.

The appropriate candidate will have a minimum of five years of management experience in a healthcare environment and two years of hospital quality/performance improvement, with demonstrated experience in understanding and executing performance improvement concepts and activities and regulatory surveys preparation. A Master's degree and CPHQ certification is required and an RN is preferred.
