Director of Project Management - West

The Manager - Project Management (Critical Power) will lead projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves resource allocation, budget management, stakeholder communication, and vendor coordination to drive project success. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, experience in project management methodologies, and the ability to oversee complex power infrastructure initiatives.

Focus:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Assess and predict resource needs, and manage them efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets based on defined scope and resource requirements.
  • Track project costs to ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, strategy adjustments, and progress.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, manage contracts, and track deliverables.
  • Apply industry-standard best practices, methodologies, and techniques to ensure successful project execution.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure performance aligns with project goals.
  • Measure project performance and implement improvements based on identified gaps.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Management, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing projects, preferably in critical power or related industries.
  • Proven ability to creatively solve problems and handle complex project requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of project management software tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and diverse backgrounds.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and a team-first mentality.
