Director of Product Management

The Director of Product Management oversees the financial performance and strategic direction of the Personal Lines Product Portfolio across multiple regions. Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, this role leads product development, market expansion, and operational excellence to drive profitable growth.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead the product management team to optimize profitability and growth in existing and new markets.
  • Oversee all phases of product development and management for Personal Lines.
  • Conduct statistical analysis, market research, and competitive assessments to guide product strategy.
  • Collaborate with IT to streamline processes and enhance product development capabilities.
  • Provide leadership on underwriting, pricing, regulatory compliance, and distribution strategies.
  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Underwriting, and Claims to drive customer retention and business performance.
  • Monitor industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging opportunities to inform product strategies.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop product management staff while fostering a results-oriented culture.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • 9+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience with a strong focus on product development.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, including leading a team.
  • Expertise in product financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and competitive market positioning.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, claims, and independent agent distribution channels.
  • Proven ability to drive business growth through data-driven decision-making.
  • CPCU, CIC, or other industry certifications preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
