Director of Planning
- Own all Open to Buy processes for brick & mortar retailers, managing a team of planners responsible for product lines and assortments.
- Analyze weekly selling and manage monthly plans, comparing results against pre-season forecasts and LY benchmarks, and creating proactive action plans based on findings.
- Analyze sales/performance by style at a top level and across multiple accounts applying information to all business decisions
- Analyze all SKU margin performance
- Review and plan SKU and SKU family Assortments. Partner with Sales and Sourcing leadership to drive the right product picks and order the right quantities to match market demand.
- Partner with Head of Sales in new SKU development and lifecycle management, including purchasing, inventory management, sales tracking, replenishment, and retention plans.
- Manage overall SKU lifecycles, including exit strategy / close-outs.
- Create and maintain annual inventory flow plans of styles across multiple brands, placing monthly/quarterly buys as needed based on ship projections out of the warehouse while managing to an internal WOS standard.
- Assess production orders by working alongside imports and production teams to track all incoming containers to see if current ship window needs will be met.
- Collaborate with the sales representatives each week to ensure the correct SKU’s are being ordered by account given our business plan and inventory position.
- Communicate with account planners/buyers regarding sales performance and receipt and inventory plans
- Provide ad hoc analysis to help drive the business forward and/or address issues as they arise.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders in all departments including planning, sales and production

Qualifications:
- BA or BS
- 8-12 years of experience in related industry
- Experience with drop ship and D2C fulfillment a plus
- Advanced Excel and retail math skills
- Experience working with a SKU intensive businesses a plus
- BI and report creation a plus
- Ability to multitask, have a high sense of urgency and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills and team play a must
