We are seeking a Director of People Services who will act as a pivotal leader in our acute and urgent care setting. This role about more than just HR functionalities—it is about creating a transformative space that aligns talent management with our overarching goals in health services. The Director will foster a supportive work environment, improve co-worker relations, and spearhead recruitment and retention strategies. With a direct report to senior leadership, this role requires a seasoned HR professional who combines expertise in policy development, a strategic workforce approach, and effective budget management to drive organizational success.
Salary: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Formulate HR policies and programs to cultivate a positive and family-friendly work environment.
- Oversee the hiring process, develop staffing strategies that align with our healthcare service goals.
- Supervise a team of HR professionals focusing on recruitment, training, and policy development.
- Implement and manage employee relations programs, focusing on issue resolution and employee satisfaction.
- Create comprehensive training programs to boost productivity and foster career development across various roles.
- Lead the development and management of the HR department’s budget to ensure financial targets are met.
- Administer performance review structures and enhance organizational leadership through targeted HR interventions.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Degree in Business or Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in acute or urgent care settings.
- Extensive knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to interact with all levels of management and staff.
- Ability to strategize, implement, and integrate HR policies across a large organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR).
- Expertise in managing workplace diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Experience with information systems for HR management.
