Director of Operations - Repair

We have a great client in the bay area of California in need of a Director of Operations for their repair centers. The ideal candidate will have the following;

The Director of Repair Operations Management is responsible for overseeing a global organization responsible for managing a global supplier and company network tasked with the on-time delivery and quality of refurbished product and field material. The role requires leadership of senior site managers and global programs that will enhance customer satisfaction and drive operational improvements. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving cross functional initiatives that address delivery capability, quality improvement, cost reduction, infrastructure buildout, and performance management platforms.

  • Manage and guide a global supply base for Supply Chain Service Operations.
  • Lead an organization of global site Operations Managers tasked with delivery, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deploy best practices across global locations.
  • Standardize performance management platforms and drive performance improvement through KPI management and continual improvement methods.
  • Establish capacity planning methods and ensure strong change management processes are established with all suppliers.
  • Support contract requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Program manage internal / external transfers and audit programs.
  • Establish positive relationships and partnerships with network of suppliers and establish collaborative working processes with a broad range of company stakeholders.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business with 14+ years of experience OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience.
  • 4+ years managing people
  • 6+ years of experience managing repair or manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytics and performance management proficiencies
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of time
  • APICS or related Supply Chain certifications
  • Lean Six Sigma and Quality / QMS experience
  • Electromechanical technology or medical device background is a plus
