Key Responsibilities for the Director of Nursing, Psychiatric Services:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the service line
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure high-quality patient care, compliance, and safety.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Work closely with hospital administration to align behavioral health initiatives with overall hospital goals.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications for the Director of Nursing, Psychiatric Services:

  • Master's degree required - if not in Nursing, must have BSN + Master's in another area.
  • RN License State of North Carolina.
  • 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in behavioral health, psychiatry/inpatient mental health.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for inpatient psychiatric services.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive change, and develop clinical programs.
