Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of a $765 million non-asset 3PL that delivers multimodal solutions to over 5,000 customers across the globe.
Responsible for the developing and leading business strategy of expansion of transportation business into the cross-border space between the US and Mexico. Will leverage the current sales force, by identifying cross-border needs and positioning the organization as a solutions provider, to bring on new cross-border business with a focus on strategic, profitable growth. In addition, will build out capacity solutions to execute, support, and sustain the business through growth phases. Will work with marketing, recruiting, and other internal support groups to develop internal and external sales collateral. Will work with IT to determine technology enhancements and operational tools to support the growth of the business unit. Will provide leadership and management of the Mexico cross-border sales functions, including leadership of the Mexico Account Representative teams, continuous enhancement of carrier development strategies, developing and implementing pricing processes, and customer penetration and retention. The challenge is to build a world class team, drive revenues, and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
- Track record of successful growth of a cross-border transportation business unit (10+ years)
- Progressive responsibility growth throughout career
- Sales management – direct and indirect
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Carrier Procurement KPI’s (Load count, revenue, margin)
- Ability and experience to develop and execute business plan strategies
- Pricing logic & analysis
- Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Travel: 25 - 30%
- Residence: Chattanooga, TN (relocation opportunity) OR near one of company’s regional offices (relocation opportunity)
