Our Client is a 250+ bed acute care hospital with a Level II Trauma Center. The hospital provides a host of technologically-advanced services including Cardiovascular, Neuro, Orthopedic, Bariatric and General Surgery, Interventional Pulmonology and services for Women. Our client holds Joint Commission advanced certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Get with the Guidelines- Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. It is a certified Chest Pain Center, county-designated STEMI (heart attack) Receiving Center, designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a member of Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ECMO) and is certified by The Joint Commission in Sepsis care.
Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the director of Medical Staff Services is responsible for planning and organizing the operations of the Medical Staff Services is responsible for planning and organizing the operations of the Medical Staff Services. Department in a multi-hospital setting.
Licensure/ Certification/Registration:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/MEMBERSHIPS (Either one not all 3 are required)
Member of National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) or
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist- (CPCS) *** this cert has a 78% failure rate anyone that has it would be GREAT*** or
Certified Professional In Medical Staff Management (CPMSM)
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelors Degree in related field preferred
Experience:
- 3 years supervisory experience; 5 years acute care hospital MSS experience.
- Must have acute care hospital experience.
- MUST have leadership experience.
