Our client is a 230+ bed acute care facility serving the community for more than 60 years. This facility services a busy ER with more than 45,000 emergencies each year.

Job Summary:

• As the Med Surg Director, you will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Assume responsibility for clinical and resource management of unit (24hrs/day).
• Integrate the department’s services with the hospital’s primary functions and mission.
• Coordinate and integrate services within their department and with other departments.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support provision of patient care and services.
• Oversee care of population served by providing support and expertise to staff.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia RN licensure or able to obtain.
• Bachelor's Degree or MSN preferred.
• Three to five years clinical experience in area of supervision.
• Appropriate interpersonal/communication skills.
• Computer Skills.
• BLS and ACLS – American Heart Association – required.
• Other certifications based on clinical area supervised.
