Director of Maternity OB GYN L&D

Imperial Valley area near San Diego and Yuma AZ

Our client has served the Southern CA for over 50 years. They currently have over 160+ beds, allowing them to serve and provide more diverse populations with various services. They are a not for profit hospital that has been clinically and financially successful.

They have engaged our firm to locate them a Director OB GYN Maternity to lead their dynamic department that delivers over 1100 babies and 70 FTEs in the department.

The Nurse Director is responsible for the overall operations of the assigned patient care areas and is accountable on a 24-hour basis. Is responsible for meeting the Joint Commission standards of patient care and the standards set forth by Title 22 of the California Administrative Code. Is responsible for managing all personnel, supplies, and equipment in the assigned department, and for promoting teamwork with physicians as well as other healthcare professionals in ancillary departments. Must be able to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse. Responsible for quality of nursing care and related documentation. Maintains a direct line of communication with the clinical managers under his/her supervision. Accountable for interpreting financial information as it applies to accountable departments to enable efficient and effective services.

 

  • California RN license or eligible; and
  • Bachelors in Nursing; and
  • Basic Life Support; and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support; and
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate; and
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support; and
  • Five (5) years working as Staff RN; and
  • Two (2) years managerial experience
