Do you revel in developing marketing strategies that capture the attention of potential customers for startup software companies? SCYTHE is looking for a Marketing Director who will be in charge of leading our company's marketing efforts.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Developing a sound marketing strategy and supporting plan to ensure that SCYTHE achieves our overarching goals of revenue and market share growth
  • Developing a detailed and justifiable marketing budget that ensures that we’re optimizing our marketing spend to focus on activities that provide a high ROI
  • Ensuring adequate pipeline growth and coverage across each stage of the funnel to ensure our sales team can meet its goals
  • Developing unique positioning for SCYTHE in order to differentiate us from more established competitors in the Breach and Attack Simulation market
  • Owning all aspects of the SCYTHE website, swag store, workshops, webinars, social media, PR and content marketing
  • Identifying, pursuing and building alliances and co-marketing partnerships with companies that complement SCYTHE, and can help raise our profile
  • Developing a library of sales collateral (white papers, battle cards, one-pagers, etc.) that allows SCYTHE to educate prospective customers and address individual industry verticals’ cybersecurity needs
  • Working closely with our sales and revops teams to ensure alignment on the right number of sales touches, the right messaging and collateral, and to conduct both closed won and closed lost analyses to understand areas for improvement
  • Developing a robust email marketing program to help drive awareness of and interest in SCYTHE’s products and services
  • Setting up lead scoring and nurture potential customers through the various stages of the sales funnel to produce highly motivated leads
  • Overseeing our annual conference, UniCon, and ensure its success in terms of quality of speakers and content, audience signups, attendance and engagement, and how we leverage it to achieve our sales goals
  • Hiring, coaching and supporting a high-performing marketing team, and provide them with the right set of tools and resources to perform their roles and responsibilities effectively

What You’ll Need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications or equivalent functional experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience successfully running a B2B marketing team and marketing campaigns
  • Five (5) or more years of experience developing and managing budgets, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing
  • Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage budgets
  • Experience working with Slack, Google Suite, Hubspot, and Zapier
