Director of Marketing (Daily Fantasy Sports)

Overview

We are looking for a Director of Marketing for an innovative and rapidly growing sports technology company. This organization operates a dynamic social sports community that blends real money games, contests, and fan engagement. The ideal candidate is a results-driven marketing leader with deep expertise in B2C digital marketing, social media strategy, and customer acquisition.

This role requires a creative yet data-oriented professional who can connect with fans where they live—social media, podcasts, traditional media, and live sports moments—while driving app downloads, customer deposits, and ongoing user engagement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated B2C marketing strategy (digital and traditional) to drive user growth and brand awareness for the company’s sports app.

  • Lead cross-platform campaigns from ideation through execution across social media, email, paid media, influencer partnerships, podcasts, events, and more.

  • Create engaging and authentic content for sports fans, leveraging live sports moments, pop culture, and community-driven trends.

  • Drive exponential growth across platforms including X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and Discord.

  • Build and manage social calendars and real-time content strategies during major sports seasons (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc.).

  • Analyze and optimize customer acquisition costs, retention metrics, and lifetime value to improve campaign performance.

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of marketers, content creators, and agency partners.

  • Collaborate with product teams to launch compelling in-app promotions and features.

  • Develop and manage partnerships with creators, sports influencers, and fan communities.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing with a strong background in digital and social media.

  • Minimum 3 years leading B2C growth strategies for a mobile app.

  • Proven success scaling app users and driving customer acquisition through both paid and organic channels.

  • Strong understanding of sports fandom, fantasy sports, and content trends.

  • Skilled in balancing creative storytelling with performance marketing and data analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with paid growth tools (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google Ads).

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; prior startup or high-growth company experience is strongly preferred.
