Position Responsibilities:
For a privately-owned food grade tank carrier that provides transportation services throughout all the United States as well as importing and exporting services between the US, Canada, and Mexico. They have been in business since 1974 and operate with a fleet of over 500 tractors and 1,200 trailers.
The Director of Maintenance will be the head authority on all technical maintenance and equipment specifications, including policies, procedures, and standard repair practices. They will lead a team of 3 Regional Maintenance Manager, a Corporate Maintenance Manager, Tractor Maintenance Manager, Tank Wash Maintenance Manager across 5 shop locations and provide organizational tools necessary to ensure efficient, timely, and quality-driven delivery of maintenance throughout the company. The director will need to develop, manage, and maintain maintenance training programs, oversee the preventative maintenance program, and analyze maintenance proves to ensure efficient performance of maintenance department within budget. They will need to work with local jurisdictions and inspectors to ensure compliance with all permits, local building codes, and local/state/federal regulations. The director will conduct service review meetings with clients, employees and vendors concerning performance and process improvements.

Background Required:
  • Truck maintenance management (10+ yrs.)
  • Multi-location management (5+ yrs.)
  • Regular preventative maintenance compliance - RPM
  • Vendor relations and negotiations
  • Parts management, procurement & warranty
  • Regulatory compliance
  • On-site inspection
  • Financial acumen, oversight of budget/P&L
  • Computer literate: Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Location: Winter Haven, FL (relocation assistance provided)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience in large-scale renovation & construction projects (both interior & exterior)
  • Transportation Technology (AS400)
  • Recruit, train, & mentor technicians
  • Experience assisting in new property acquisitions & lease agreements
  • Education: BA, BS, or Technical Degree
