Director of Information Technology
Job Description
About the Opportunity
Are you a hands-on technology leader who thrives on building strong teams, shaping strategy, and getting things done? A global technology company in the smart mobility and parking tech space is looking for a Director of Information Technology to take the helm of its U.S. IT operations.
This is your chance to make a real impact—driving modernization, cybersecurity, and innovation across a fast-growing business that blends hardware, software, and service delivery. You’ll guide a talented team, collaborate with international technology partners, and help shape the digital backbone of mission-critical systems used by airports, municipalities, hospitals, and operators nationwide.
If you’re equal parts strategist and doer—and enjoy working in a global, entrepreneurial environment—this is a role where you can lead, grow, and leave your mark.
About the Company
This organization is a recognized global leader in parking and access technology, known for delivering advanced, reliable solutions that keep people and vehicles moving efficiently. Its innovative systems power seamless mobility experiences for airports, cities, hospitals, and private operators across North America.
From ticketless entry and license plate recognition to cloud-based management, analytics, and payment integration, the company’s technology connects people, data, and infrastructure to make parking smarter, faster, and easier. With a strong culture of collaboration and innovation, it offers the perfect environment for forward-thinking leaders who want to drive meaningful impact in a growing and technology-driven industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the Charge: Build and execute a forward-looking IT strategy that supports the company’s U.S. growth goals and global vision.
- Drive Innovation: Modernize systems, enhance cloud infrastructure, and implement ITIL frameworks to improve performance, scalability, and security.
- Protect What Matters: Oversee cybersecurity efforts and ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other relevant standards—partnering with a fractional CISO to stay ahead of threats.
- Inspire and Empower: Lead a team of IT and support professionals. Mentor, coach, and create an environment where people do their best work.
- Bridge Global Operations: Collaborate daily with international IT teams to align on shared projects, integrations, and systems.
- Stay Hands-On: Roll up your sleeves to manage complex client technology deployments—ensuring smooth integrations and reliable operations.
- Partner for Success: Manage vendors, MSPs, and system integrators to deliver seamless technology solutions across the business.
What You Bring
- Proven success leading IT teams or departments in a complex, client-facing tech environment.
- Strong technical foundation across cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure), systems administration, cybersecurity, and enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on leadership style—you’re comfortable solving problems, not just talking about them.
- Skilled communicator who can balance executive-level collaboration with clear, confident leadership of technical teams.
- Experience managing diverse, high-performing technical talent and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Background in parking technology (PARCS)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; advanced certifications (CISSP, ITIL, PMP) are a bonus.

- Benefits That Work for You:
- Health, dental, and vision coverage (80/20 split)
- 401(k) with 4% employer match
