Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President for a regional transportation provider.

The Director of IT is an AS/400 I-Series RPG IT professional capable driving strategy with the ability to be tactical-hands-on when necessary. Responsible for the management, strategy and execution of all IT applications and infrastructure for the organization. Works closely with IT groups to ensure objectives are implemented and knowledge and systems are shared with other operating subsidiaries to create best practices across all IT groups. Designs and implements IT strategy that align with organizational goals. Oversees technical projects and IT Operations. Identifies and eliminate and security risks. Directs the effective delivery of information networks. Manages the hosting of and procurement of all IT equipment. Communicates within IT team and across departments as needed. Prepares progress and budget reporting for IT Capex. Hires new member of IT staff. Builds and maintains relationships with outside vendors. Manages company help desk. Evaluates IT operations with regards to established goals. Works to increase user satisfaction. Works directly with clients and company leadership to understand the individual needs of the business. Analyzes current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge. Travels 10% to warehouses, terminals, and corporate office.
