Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the COO of a transportation organization focused on same day and expedited courier services, along with regional distribution, warehousing, and labor allocation. They focus on service in the Mid Atlantic Region, priding themselves on building long lasting relationships with clients, deliver high level of service, and thriving even under the most stringent of conditions. With over $20 million in revenue, 2 divisions, 40 associates, 150 independent contractors, and 300 company drivers. Sectors they serve include E-Commerce, Office Products, Retail, Medical, and Professional Services.
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing several functions within their department. This includes risk management functions, recruitment, personnel records management, policy development and communication, compliance, performance management and development, organizational strategy, payroll, benefits administration, Workers’ compensation, conflict resolution and coaching, and supervising assigned staff (3 direct reports). This individual will contribute to helping the organization grow revenue, optimize costs, and maximize profitability.
