Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer for a nationwide logistics company with over 100 locations and thousands of independent-owner operator drivers providing services to include dedicated fleet-outsourcing, hot shot delivery, logistics, and courier.
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for implementing policies as a generalist, partnering with business leadership to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives, and resolving HR issues. Serves as a HR liaison for the following areas: talent management, labor relations, employment, employee relations, safety, succession planning, and EEO compliance. Partners with terminal and regional management teams to align policies, procedures, and programs with company objectives. Acts as the face of company policy, philosophy, and guidance to employees. Partners with leadership team to drive high performing culture. Works with management to resolve employee relations issues and conducts investigations as appropriate. Reviews operation structures including talent assessments & gaps and creates talent strategies including top grading, employee development, and reorganization. Reviews compensation structures and is aware of position in job market. Identifies training program opportunities for new hires, skill building, and cross training across terminals. Participates in company’s safety program. Ensures company standards and procedures are followed consistently.
