Our client is a 500 bed not for profit hospital in Southern Georgia that focuses on its patients and employees. They are searching for a rock star Lab Director to join their team.
The Laboratory Director supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the systems, processes, and personnel responsible for the analysis of specimens to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment of disease. The Lab Director Consults with pathologist regarding compliance with regulation standards and changes in test procedures; oversees a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of clinical and anatomical pathology laboratories.
Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related science Masters Degree preferred
- Must have 3+ years of hospital leadership experience
- Classified by GDHR as a Laboratory Supervisor in accordance with Rules and Regulations for the licensure of clinical laboratories and certified by ASCP, AMT, HHS or AAB.
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of CLIA 88, GDHR, CAP, OSHA, JCAHO, AABB, COLA regulatory and accreditation standards. Proficient in the use of laboratory information systems and other computer software.
