About Locus Biosciences

Locus Biosciences is a clinical-stage biotechnology company that develops precision antibacterial products. Our crPhage™ platform combines the antibacterial power of CRISPR-Cas3 with the efficient delivery of bacterial viruses called bacteriophage. By selectively removing unwanted bacteria from the body while leaving the many species of good bacteria intact, crPhage can address serious bacterial infections and the growing set of diseases shown to be related to the human microbiome. Locus launched its first human clinical trial in early 2020, with a crPhage product targeting Escherichia coli bacteria in the urinary tract. Locus also recently announced a strategic collaboration with Johnson & Johnson to develop crPhage products targeting respiratory infections.
