Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director of Logistics, Engineering and Design for a leading transportation and supply chain logistics company. They pride themselves on meeting the needs of their clients on a day-to-day basis, growing continually over nearly 40 years. Provides transportation, material handling and warehousing design and development, and develop repair and custom projects for customers throughout North America and Australia. Generates $1 billion in revenues annually, with close to 5,000 associates. This division focuses on solutions in rail, highway, intermodal, and international.
The Director of Final Mile will lead a team that currently services a large retail customer and expanding its customer base. This role will have the responsibility for and ownership of the Supply Chain Final Mile product offering, ensuring that assigned projects are brought from concept to implementation to fully operational status. Candidate will be the leader of the Final Mile department within the organization will full responsibility for performance of all Final Mile operations. Chief responsibility is to drive the success of Final Mile product and as a result successfully deliver revenue from design through new project implementation and continuing operations. Highly visible, customer facing role. Travel estimated at 50%-75% the first year, and approximately 50% starting year two. Goal is to increase revenues, optimize costs, and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
