Director of Fiduciary Services
We have an opportunity for a Director of Fiduciary Services to represent a privately held trust company and oversee its fiduciary services division. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with experience in trust and estate administration who brings both hands-on expertise and operational leadership to the table.
As Director of Fiduciary Services, you’ll lead a growing team, guide trust operations, and help shape the company’s long-term growth and service strategy.
This role combines team development, high-level oversight, and individual account administration. You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership, serve as the primary contact for estate planning professionals, and ensure each client experience is grounded in trust, consistency, and care.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations of fiduciary services, including after-death administration, trust administration, and conservatorships
- Administer a personal book of trust, estate, IRA, and investment management accounts
- Supervise and mentor trust staff; assist in hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Act as primary contact for clients, attorneys, and CPAs regarding estate planning and fiduciary needs
- Coordinate with management to ensure fiduciary services align with organizational goals and risk standards
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, and marketing initiatives
- Manage Will File communication strategy and engagement with centers of influence
- Serve on the Trust Investment & Account Review Committee; periodically review investment portfolios
- Review and sign trust vouchers and documentation related to fiduciary services
- Identify growth opportunities within existing relationships and through new referrals
- Drive revenue through appropriate fee collection, including time-based charges
- Promote trust services externally to prospective clients and referral partners
- Continuously seek improvements in process efficiency and client service delivery
- Perform other duties as needed in support of the department and client success
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of trust and estate administration experience, or 5+ years of investment experience with a strong interest in fiduciary services
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in trust, estate, or financial services
- CTFA, CFP, or CPA designation strongly preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and trust systems
