Director of Federal Sales

Remote (U.S.-based, DC Metro preferred) Full-Time

Overview

A recognized leader in high-assurance physical access control and identity security is seeking a Director of Federal Sales to drive revenue growth across U.S. federal agencies and integrators. This is a strategic role owning federal sales strategy, pipeline development, and execution within a FICAM-aligned product suite.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and lead the federal go-to-market strategy for access control and identity management solutions

  • Build deep relationships with key federal agencies, SIs, and contracting partners

  • Respond to RFPs, shape bids, and navigate the federal procurement process

  • Lead a small team of federal reps, engineers, and channel support staff

  • Own revenue targets and forecasting across federal verticals

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering to ensure alignment with federal compliance requirements (FICAM, NIST, CJIS)

What You’ll Need

  • 7+ years of federal sales experience in access control, cybersecurity, identity, or related physical security domains

  • Deep understanding of federal contracting, integrator ecosystems, and agency mission needs

  • Strong network across federal civilian, DoD, and/or intel communities

  • Excellent communication, proposal writing, and presentation skills

  • Proven ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals

  • Active clearance preferred but not required
