Director of Facilities / Healthcare Facilities Director - Southern, Colorado

This Director of Facilities position oversees critical infrastructure, environmental services, and plant operations that keep a hospital campus running smoothly. It’s an opportunity to lead a large multidisciplinary team while making a real impact in a rural healthcare community.
About You
- Be able to do the job as described
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of hospital/acute care facilities management experience, including personnel management
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems
- Experience with autoclaving, bio-waste handling, life safety codes, and hospital facility standards
- Ability to apply engineering principles to diagnose and repair complex facility systems

What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide leadership and oversight for Plant Operations, Maintenance, EVS, and Grounds
- Supervise and develop a 45-person facilities team
- Direct maintenance of utility systems including heat, steam, power, gas, and oxygen
- Ensure preventative maintenance and operational standards for equipment and infrastructure
- Maintain compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS, and local building/fire codes
- Coordinate contractors, construction phases, and facility upgrades
- Partner with hospital departments to assess operational needs and implement solutions
