Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Enterprise Sales for a non-asset logistics organization in business for 34 years with a focus on providing cost effective solutions, maintain clear and transparent communication, and be the go-to, reliable logistics provider.
The Director of Enterprise Sales will be responsible for development of profitable transactional and managed transportation business by identifying sales opportunities, cold-calling, closing the sale, and building long lasting customer relationships in a competitive, fast-paced industry. The Director will also be responsible for expanding overall business through business development with new customers, managing relationships with existing customers, capturing, and communicating our unique value to customers, planning, and executing all sales and marketing strategies. The Director will engage with customers’ post-sale via account reviews and quarterly meetings to prove ROI, create new value and work with Pricing Analysts, and Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with perspective new customers. The challenge is to expand the account base, increase revenues, and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Outside sales / Business Development within Freight Brokerage and Managed Transportation (5+ years)
  • Mode of Transportation (Reefer, Dry Van, TL) Produce and refrigerated & ambient food products.
  • Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  • Regional and National accounts experience
  • Strong Selling and closing capabilities.
  • Sales performance Metrics (KPI’s, Client development)
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Education: College Graduate
  • Residence: Remote East Coast
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience in temperature-controlled transportation i.e. produce.
  • Freight Management Software
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Advanced Financial Knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
