Director of Engineering:

• Lead engineering strategy and execution for an industrial automation product portfolio, with ownership of the full product development lifecycle (concept through production and support)
• Build structure, governance, and accountability across engineering, implementing scalable processes and development frameworks
• Drive global engineering strategy, including building and scaling an independent offshore team (Taiwan) to support long-term growth
• Oversee firmware-heavy product development across integrated hardware, mechanical, and emerging IoT/data-driven systems
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of products, improving project execution, quality, and cross-functional alignment
• Partner with Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain to align engineering priorities with business objectives, cost targets, and manufacturability
• Lead, develop, and scale high-performing engineering teams, establishing clear direction, performance standards, and accountability
• Requirements: 10+ years engineering experience (7+ years leadership) in industrial automation, material handling, motion control, or industrial motors; proven experience building global/offshore teams; strong technical depth with ability to challenge and guide engineering decisions
• Location: must live in or relocate to Milwaukee
