Currently seeking a talented and dedicated Director of Emergency Room ER for a great opportunity in the Northwestern, IN area. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of current experience working in an acute care hospital and 3+ years of experience working in an Emergency Room Department in a leadership role.

Responsibilities of the Director of Emergency Room ER

• Assures great service, growth, development, and personnel management to ensure consistency in the Emergency Room Department
• Enforces standards of emergency department care and develops processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance
• Develops, implements, and evaluates an ongoing emergency services program that assures quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission
• Oversees a PI program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care
• Is responsible for the department’s operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards
• Enforces standards of emergency department care and develops processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance
• Seeks new program strategies and/or program enhancements that would expand patient services

Requirements of the Director of Emergency Room ER

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Masters degree preferred
• Current and Valid RN license
• 5+ years current experience working in acute care hospital in the Emergency Room department
• 3+ years of experience working in an Emergency Room unit in a leadership role
• Ability to administer all proper clinical care of the patient
• Ability to maintain accurate medical record transcriptions
• Ability to work in a team environment Problem-solving skillset
• Works collaboratively with healthcare professionals for quality patient care
