Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of a regional transportation provider.
The Director, Driver Recruiting Responsible for hiring, training, and retaining class-8 drivers through the coordination of lead generation, market research, evaluating driver applications, conducting phone and face to face interviews, involved in driver orientation and seminars, and conducting follow-up interviews to assess satisfaction and working conditions. Primary duties will include, but are not limited to, answer recruiting calls, maintain consistent, steady flow of qualified driver applicants entering weekly orientation class. Screen and pre-qualify applicants, Challenge is to lead recruiting efforts of quality individuals to improve driver retention and lower driver turnover. Responsible for annual requirements related to driver CDL’s, MVR checks and DOT physicals. Travel up to 25%.

- Applicant tracking systems: (i.e. TenStreet, HireRight, TMW, McLeod)
- Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
- Residence: Atlanta, GA (relocation assistance)
- Dispatch software (i.e. McLeod, Trinium)
- Safety and Risk Management
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent communications (i.e. verbal, written, presentations)
- Leadership
- Hunter mentality
- Negotiations
- Understanding of drivers needs
