Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Vice President of HR of an asset-based transportation and logistics provider, operating in all 48 states with superior talent, equipment, and technology that allows for consistent meeting or exceeding of customer expectations. With 200 company drivers and 100 owner operators they run out of 4 terminals. Their goals is hire 60 drivers per month and they currently operate with a 80% turnover percent.
The Director of Driver Recruiting and Retention is responsible for leading and overseeing the direction, approaches, and strategies of recruiting drivers with a staff of 5 other recruiters. The leader will be tasked with establishing and implementing new recruiting, advertising, and onboarding procedures. As a key member of the team, develops strategic direction, as well as the hands-on execution, communication, and delivery of recruiting policies, programs, and practices, and works strategically on driver retention. Challenge is to increase driver hiring, optimize costs, and maximize profitability.

- Analyzed recruiting & marketing data
- Driver retention strategies
- Driver sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding
- Safety Regulations (CSA, DOT, FMCSR)
- Transportation software (i.e., TMW, UltiPro, Tenstreet)
- Computer Literate: Microsoft suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Education: High-School degree or equivalent
- Residence: Chicago, IL
- Merger & acquisition’s
- EDI experience
- P&L Management
- KPI’s (dashboard)
- Education: Master’s Degree (i.e., Business, Operations, or Computer Science)
