One of our more prestigious clients has asked us for help in seeking a Director of Clinical Operations to join their organization.

As the Director of Clinical Operations ( a key leadership role ), you will oversee strategic planning and deliver high-quality clinical services across all of our clients' campuses. We expect you to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, promote best practices in our exceptional care delivery, and continue to support the culture of excellence and compassion in resident care.
You will lead a team of clinical leaders and serve as a resource and advisor to campus administrators and nursing leadership.
What you will be doing:
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and oversight across all levels of care: skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including OH Department of Health and CMS guidelines.
- Lead the implementation, optimization, and adoption of electronic health records (EHR) systems across campuses. Experience with PointClickCare or a similar long-term care EHR platform is strongly preferred.
- Collaborate with IT and clinical staff to ensure the system supports clinical workflows, compliance, documentation accuracy, and reporting.
- Lead development and implementation of evidence-based clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Facilitate audits, surveys, and inspections; oversee development and execution of corrective action plans when needed.
- Mentor and support nursing leaders to strengthen clinical competencies, leadership skills, and retention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes and promote continuity of care.
- Evaluate and manage infection prevention programs across campuses.
- Assist with hiring and onboarding of key clinical personnel.
- Lead clinical response efforts in crisis situations, including infection outbreaks or emergency preparedness.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting as a senior member of the leadership team.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unencumbered license in the state of Ohio.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; master’s in nursing or healthcare administration preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including multi-site or regional oversight in long-term care or senior living.
- Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance in skilled nursing and assisted living settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
