Director of Cardiovascular Services

Currently seeking a talented and dedicated Director of Cardiovascular Services for a great opportunity in the Northeastern, KS area. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of current experience working in an acute care hospital and 3+ years of experience working in a Cardiovascular Pulmonary Rehab in a leadership role.

Responsibilities of the Director of Cardiovascular Services

  • Manages: Outpatient heart center – includes stress testing, EKG echocardiogram & vascular, EP, Cath/Interventional Radiology/Vascular areas, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab as well as CV Prep and Recovery Area: 3 EP suites, 2 cath labs, 12-bed Cardiac Cath / EP PreOp and Recovery
  • Provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care of assigned area(s) with twenty-four (24) hour accountability
  • Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs
  • Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Supports the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Responsible for staff performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for providing high-quality service to and acting as a liaison for patients and their representatives, physicians, and employees
  • Responsible for the efficient productivity and minimization of costs
  • Supervise staff including performance and departmental accomplishments to meet facility and regulatory requirements

Requirements of the Director of Cardiovascular Services

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Masters preferred (MSN, MBA, or MHA)
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state KS or a Multistate License BLS/ACLS
  • PALS - within 1 year of hire
  • Will consider candidates with RCIS in lieu of an RN
  • MUST have Cath Lab Experience
  • MUST have leadership experience
  • MUST have acute care experience
  • 3-5 years in Cardiovascular Services, with at least half of those years in Cardiovascular leadership (prefer in a program with full Cardiovascular services)
