About the Opportunity

A leading aerospace and defense manufacturer is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth across OEM, aftermarket, and government sectors. This role offers the opportunity to shape long-term business direction, build high-value partnerships, and strengthen the company’s competitive position in the global aerospace market.

Reporting to executive leadership, you’ll lead business expansion efforts, manage key customer relationships, and oversee strategic planning and contract negotiations for major programs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year business development and growth strategies.

  • Identify new market opportunities within OEM, technology, and government programs.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with customers, suppliers, and industry leaders.

  • Lead complex contract negotiations and proposal development.

  • Oversee accurate sales forecasting and performance tracking.

  • Mentor and guide senior managers to ensure alignment with company objectives.

  • Represent the organization at aerospace industry events and conferences to enhance visibility.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in aerospace OEM, aftermarket, or government contracting.

  • Proven success in a senior management or director-level role.

  • Expertise in strategic planning, key account management, and contract negotiation.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
