Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer of a global transportation, relocation, and logistics company, serving 180 countries with more than 2,300 employees around the globe. Provides end-to-end logistics, home delivery, employee relocation, commercial moving and workplace services. Established for over 100 years, generates over $850 million in revenue, with 60 locations worldwide, and over 3.4 million in warehouse space.
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for leading the pursuit of new business in the home delivery (large good) sector of the organization. This person must be able to lead a full sales cycle from prospecting to customer implementation. They will provide clear direction on deal strategy, pricing, service levels, value proposition, and customer relationship strategy. This person will be a true hunter, with the desire to continue to add new logos and new opportunities to grow the company. This person’s goal is to increase revenue year over year, while complimenting operations and championing the company’s value in the marketplace.

Background Required:
  • White Glove Home Delivery Sales (2 yrs)
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow business ($3-$5 million)
  • Retail and e-Tailer sales experience
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies and sales methodology
  • Negotiations
  • Mastery of sales cycle
  • Travel: 25-50%
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or 6 years home delivery sales experience
  • Residence: Remote
