Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO for a logistics provider that provides pick and daily services and delivers more than 130,000 packages a day. They currently operate in 11 major markets across the country. They offer services such as Ecommerce delivery, reverse logistics, and restaurant delivery services. They pride themselves on being nimble, having strong technology, and growing at a fast pace.
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for the development and signing of profitable new business, additional business, and maintaining current accounts through consultative, strategic, client-driven selling of all products and services. Will coordinate the complete sales cycle process including suspect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, RFQs, pricing, solutions development, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
- Transportation contractual business development (5+ years)
- Courier sales
- Demonstrated ability to build and grow business ($5-$7 million)
- National account level sales experience
- Relationships with potential clients (courier, medical, automotive)
- Develop and execute business plan strategies.
- Mastery of sales cycle
- Computer literate (Office Suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: Northeast US
- Travel: as needed to hit sales goals
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Portable book of business
- ECA or CLDA membership
- eCommerce Operations
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
- Excellent communications (verbal & written presentations)
- Strong presentation skills
- Client-driven.
- Creativity to design and implement solutions for customers.
