Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the SVP of Sales for a large omnichannel provider in the U.S.
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing and expanding our 3PL business within an industry, geography, or service offering. The primary focus will be selling omni-channel order fulfilment, warehouse & distribution services, and other value-added services to a defined target customer base. They will play an important role in establishing long-term strategic relationships that typically go beyond the sale of a single point solution. The Director of Business Development is given a high degree of autonomy to manage the solution sales process and is supported extensively by the organization and executive management.

Background Required:
  • Third Party Logistics Sales: Contract Warehousing (5 years)
  • Omnichannel – (eCommerce/DTC) and Wholesale) Fulfillment
  • Proven track record of closing accounts
  • Client Management
  • Developed and execute business plan strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology tools (i.e., WMS)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Travel: Domestic, as needed.
  • Residence: Remote Office
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Advanced Degree –MBA
