Director of Business Development – Rosemont, IL

About this Position:

We are a national Microsoft Reseller with over 600 clients focusing on the field service space. We have a high growth technical environment with a workforce of over 75 professionals. We have a unique opportunity to convert these 600+ clients from Dynamics GP to D365 Business Central. The workforce is highly skilled and consists of application consultants, software engineers, and professional services that have operated in the Microsoft space for 10-20+ years. Join us, as a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) of D365 BC to assist us with our acceleration to the cloud as one of the most reputable companies in the Dynamics ERP Community.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet/exceed assigned revenue goals
  • Advance opportunities through a well-defined sales process
  • Create/Identify new ERP opportunities by working territory account and prospect lists
  • Build and leverage referral networks, and work with product vendors to gain referrals
  • Build solid relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, as well as sales and marketing teams
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities
  • Direct marketing efforts by presenting market research to marketing directors and suggesting strategies to expand market research
  • Assess marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed
  • Prepare all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Research emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
  • Present business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management
  • Select automation software and software platforms that best meet company needs
  • Identification of new opportunities and markets for the ERP Practices through market knowledge, customer relationship development and leverage of the K2A network, through targeted marketing campaigns, events and direct calling initiatives
  • Work with K2A technology partners and specialists
  • Preparation and delivery of presentations and solution proposals and the active
  • Contract negotiation covering license/hardware sales, consulting services, fixed price applications development and managed services contracts, with the support of the relevant teams

What You Need

  • 4+ years of recent experience with selling D365 BC or similar mid-market ERP/Financial Management software or similar cloud-based software and related services
  • Experience selling into manufacturing and distribution in SMB and Mid-Market enterprises
  • Demonstrated accounting/financial skill
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Previous management consulting experience delivering increasingly complex ERP systems implementations preferred


  • Base pay $ + flat rate commission percentage with quarterly and new logo bonus opportunities
  • Hybrid schedule; two days in office, three remote
