Manager Benefits
Exciting opportunity for a benefits professional who wants to make a difference! The Benefits, Manager
will be responsible for developing, implementing, communicating, and administering all benefits programs
across our client. Reporting to the Director of HR Operations, you will get to apply your knowledge and
expertise to evolve our benefits strategy and programs to support the growth and the ever-changing
needs of our community. With your passion for continuous improvement and driving operational
excellence, you will also play an integral role in building an exceptional Benefits capability and team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Refine and deploy a strategic roadmap for our benefits strategy against market best practices in
alignment with our business goals and culture
• Provide thought leadership, expertise, and guidance in the development of innovative wellness
programs that reinforce our vision and overall benefits strategy
• Develop tools and communication vehicles that increase engagement and understanding of
benefit programs and the value they deliver to new and existing employees
• Work closely with broker to evaluate and benchmark our benefits programs based on industry
trends and best practices to ensure competitiveness in market and connection to vision
• Oversee administration of benefits including Health and Welfare, Retirement, Leave
Management, Reporting, Vendor Management, Policies, and monthly self-administered billing
• Ensure compliance with COBRA, FLSA, ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA and other federal, state, and
local regulatory requirements
• Lead and drive the execution of benefit annual renewals and enrollment process, involved in all
phases of renewal discussions, benefits communication, and change management plans
• Direct and supervise the work of the benefits team. Continuously coach and mentor direct
report(s) to support growth and development.
• Partner with our HRIS capability to ensure optimal system configuration for benefits administration
• Lead/participate in ad hoc projects and other activities related to our benefit programs
Minimum Requirements:
• Progressive HR benefits experience leading all aspects of benefits strategy, design,
administration, and compliance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with self-funded
medical benefits

• Proven experience translating vision into strategy for designing, implementing, managing, and
measuring successful benefits and wellness programs
• Comprehensive understanding of multi-state benefits compliance including knowledge of
ERISA, COBRA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers Comp
• Demonstrated people management skills and experience in developing and growing talent
• Ability to successfully manage vendors and develop strategic partnership
