Position Summary: Plans, directs, and evaluates the administrative and clinical operations of Behavioral Health Services . Develops strategic goals and objectives, oversees performance, quality, and delivery of treatments. Supervises and directs staff. Implements our vision and mission to ensure the delivery of high quality services in accordance with established standards and requirements as well as applicable regulatory requirements.
Critical Tasks:
- Develops strategic and short-range planning goals for services. Defines and recommends objectives for achieving goals.
- Directs and evaluates administrative, support, and clinical functions. Ensures all administrative, support, and clinical functions are aligned with the GRHC mission and BHS strategic goals.
- Performs ongoing oversight and monitoring of treatment to ensure quality of service and appropriateness of care.
- Develops, manages, and revises budget; reviews and analyzes financial reports and ensures all financial assets are appropriately managed and administered.
- Tracks and monitors expenditures and confirms established budgetary goals are achieved.
- Oversees recruiting, screening, and hiring of assigned staff. Manages assigned staff including trainings and annual performance evaluations.
- Collects and analyzes service effectiveness data and performance measurements to support decision making and evaluate current and potential programs.
- Takes all steps necessary to fully ensure client/Community data confidentiality and security by all department staff.
- Internally administers all block grants while ensuring that block grants are complied with fully.
- Assists with grant preparation, implementation and monitoring.
- Recommends and implements appropriate policies and procedures as well as ensures adherence and compliance to applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees activities to ensure appropriate high-quality services to behavioral health clients/Community.
- Initiates and conducts investigations into incidents and ensures identified service concerns or deficiencies are addressed and corrected in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Continually evaluates and improves services standards, policies and protocols to ensure beneficial services to clients/Community.
- Continually assesses services and programs offered in comparison to changing client/Community needs, and recommends necessary changes and improvements as indicated by client/Community needs and conditions.
- Designs and implements professional staff development programs.
- Continually researches evidence based Behavioral Healthcare best practices and implements as appropriate.
- Notifies executive management of all significant issues affecting clients/Community and takes all steps necessary to ensure full resolution of such issues.
- Develops and provides relevant presentations to the Community, Community Leadership, and external entities.
- Demonstrates ability to clearly communicate, both orally and in writing, while performing all essential functions.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters’ Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited university.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a Behavioral Health management oversight role. At least three years of experience with diverse patient populations.
- Arizona LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or LISAC independent licensure for a minimum of five years.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- State of Arizona driver’s license with no significant violations during the last 5 years.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically our Community and/or other cultures.
- Interest patient services/care, and customer service.
- Prior health care environment work experience is preferred.
- Fingerprint clearance.
